Molly Nilsson
Molly Nilsson
The magical melodies and touchingly clever lyrics of Molly Nilsson (who also goes by the name formerly known as White Bread!), grow on you as you find yourself listening to them over and over again. With her one-woman-show, this escaped Swede brings her nostalgic pop, on a journey through life and death, with love and trouble, to a No Mans Land, on the border between reality and dream.

"Astral-pop, spaceage synthwave, we’re falling fast for Bird Call." - The Line of Best Fit

Bird Call is the NYC-based musical project founded by 29 year-old singer and musician Chiara Angelicola. After having written a collection of new songs in the winter, Angelicola approached musician, composer, and orchestrator Bryan Senti (Mark Ronson, Rufus Wainwright, Miike Snow) to produce Bird's first full-length record. Over the course of 12 months, Chiara and Bryan embarked on a musical journey crafting a sonic landscape that encompasses the body of work found in the new record, “Will We Get To Mars?” which FACT mag dubbed "phantasmagoric".

Bird Call explores a range of emotional territory with her voice, vulnerable lyrics, and candid stage presence whilst providing an aural backdrop that is variably danceable, electronically driven, and, at times, futuristic and experimental. Amidst the year of production, Bird lured new fans and perked ears while touring and sharing the stage with indie favorites including Majical Cloudz and Angel Olsen.

The much anticipated Will We Get To Mars digitally released worldwide on September 3rd, 2013 alongside a premiere with UK's The Guardian, who dubbed the record "heart-burstingly lovely..." Jessica Yatrofsky has directed the music video for the self-titled track which premiered with Nylon Magazine October 4th, 2013. We have landed on Mars. Thank God.
